23 February: Ben Page spoke at the CABE Space Leader’s Programme at the Marriott Hollins Hall in Baildon near Bradford. Ben presented two topic areas:

23 February: Sally Panayiotou spoke at the Consultation Institute event Meaningful Consultation with Children & Young People in Birmingham. Sally presented the session: Following their lead - creating meaningful consultation with young people.

2 March: Ben Page spoke at the 21st Annual Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) South East Branch Conference at the Hilton Brighton Metropole.

6 March: Ben Page spoke at the Association of School and College Leaders Annual Conference. Keynote speakers included Rt Hon Ed Balls MP, Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families and Carol Ann Duffy, the Poet Laureate.

16 March: Ben Page spoke at the launch of the Commission on 2020 Public Services Interim Report at the RSA, 8 John Adam Street, London.

25 March: Simon Atkinson, Assistant Chief Executive, spoke at the Social Market Foundation New Finance Debate. Simon spoke on the topic Rebuilding Trust on our Financial Services: Our Starting Point.

31 March: Bobby Duffy, Managing Director, Social Research Institute, spoke at Neil Stewart Associates' Community Consultation Conference: Hard Choices, engagement and localism at the The Kings Fund, London, W1. Bobby presented Understanding what citizens want.

12 - 14 April: Dr. Kirstin McLarty and Sally Panayiotou (Social Research Institute) spoke at the Local Authorities Research + Intelligence Association (LARIA) conference at The Royal Holloway University, Egham, Surrey. On Tuesday 13 April, Sally spoke on Life on the Estate. On Wednesday, Kirstin spoke on The question order effect: declining satisfaction with authorities, is value for money relevant?

 

14 April: Ben Page spoke at the 7th Biennial International Conference in Organisational Behaviour in Health Care (OBHC) at the University of Birmingham. Ben spoke on What does excellence look like for the public and patients?

5 May: Nathan Bartlett, Head of Retail & Shopper, spoke at the MRS Innovation in Retail Research conference, London, on the theme Exploiting eye tracking research insights to drive in-store impulse purchasing.

25 May: Ben Page spoke at the World Congress of Information Technology in Amsterdam. Ben spoke during the session 'Fair Expectations: What can and can't be expected of IT?' on 'Re-inventing government: what IT offers and what it does not'

7 June: Ben Page spoke at The King's Fund Conference 'Future challenges for the NHS: looking ahead to the next 5 years' at the King's Fund in Cavendish Square, London. Ben presented an overview of the outcome of the general election and what it means for health.

    8 June: Ben Page spoke at the British Property Federation Annual Conference at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster, London. Ben participated in a panel debate focusing on political change in an election year.

    15 June: Simon Atkinson spoke at the 5th Annual Customer Management Conference and Exhibition at the City of Manchester Stadium. Simon presented on the topic Customer Satisfaction coms From Exceeding Expectations.

    30th June: Ben Page spoke at the Health Service Journal Conference on Measuring and Improving the Patient Experience. Ben presented on 'Making the most of the Patient Survey'.

    8 September:
    Ben Page will be speaking at the 2020 Public Service Trust (PST) launch event: 2020 Public Safety: Opportunities for Reform at the Royal Society for the Arts (RSA) in London.

    17 September: Ben Page will be speaking at the Local Government Chronicle Summit in the Home Counties. Further details to follow.

    22 September: Charles Adriaenssens, head of Financial Services at Ipsos MORI Loyalty spoke at a Social Market Foundation (SMF) fringe meeting at the Liberal Democrat Party Conference in Liverpool. Charles spoke on the subject Trust in Financial Services.

    23 September: Peter Haslett, Chairman of Ipsos ASI UK and Northern Europe, spoke at Warc's The Future of Advertising Research Conference in London. Peter presented on the topic - Pre-testing in the modern world... Understanding campaign criteria for in-market success.

    30 September: Ben Page spoke at the Institute of Public Administration Dublin's National Conference. The theme of the event was 'Building trust and confidence in public administration'.

    5 October: Ben Page will be speaking at the Association of Health Care Communicators Annual Conference and Communicating Health Awards 2010. The theme is new Horizons.

    12 October: Ben Page will be speaking at the Horticultural Trades Association Garden Futures Conference at the Barbican Centre. The conference will look at current trends affecting the garden industry.

    13 October: Ben Page will be speaking at the London Councils' Conference on Youth Aspiration. London Councils' soon to be published Youth Aspiration research, conducted by Ipsos MORI, is a ground-breaking project examining the hopes and expectations of young people aged 14 to 16 years old in London secondary schools and Pupil Referral Units. The conference will explore the research in detail with a high-level panel commenting on and responding to the report's findings.

    13 October: Ben Page will be speaking at the SOLACE Annual Conference being held in Cardiff International Arena titled, 'Weather the Storm- Lessons for Local Leaders'.

    20 October: Jonathan Nicholls will be speaking at the conference Delivering Disinvestment - Making tough decisions now to ensure the future of front-line services. This one day conference, chaired by Andrew Corbett Nolan Director The Good Governance Institute will aim to help people understand how to deliver Disinvestment, focusing on developing frameworks for prioritisation and the appropriate governance of the decision making process.

    21 October: Ben Page will be speaking at the Teleperformance breakfast event 'The Changing Voice of the Customer' taking place at the Ritz, London. Ben will be speaking on the topic "What are Consumers saying?".

      2 November: Ben Page will be speaking at the IJMR Research Methods Forum which will be on the theme 'Fit for Purpose'. The venue will be the Royal Society in central London. The aim of the day is to go back to basics and re-assess the fundamentals of designing effective research projects in today’s world where time is often of the essence; there are significant pressures on costs; traditional research providers, and methods, face a wider range of competitors (‘disruptive technologies’). Ben's presentation is titled 'The Death of Reason and the Rise of Intuition'.

      16 November: Ben Page has been appointed as the Chair of the Customer Contact Association (CCA) Global Convention 2010 in Glasgow. The CCA Global Convention is the leading event for senior customer contact executives.

      17 November: Ben Page will be taking part in a Question Time session at the CBI Climate Change Summit in which he will be invited to share his perspectives and analysis on climate change issues raised by conference delegates.

      22 November: Simon Atkinson spoke at the National Centre for Research Methods event The polls in 2010: learning the lessons at Trafalgar Events in London.
